Does the NCAA use the same rules on glove size as the Pros? That center fielder for Ga, has a huge glove. Looks like an oversized softball glove.

His glove looks like a 12.75 or 13, which I believe is within the rules.
Having said that, gloves sizes are rarely policed.

I love going to a youth game and seeing a 10 year old, or less, playing with a 13 inch softball glove. They can't even hold it up.

The glove shall not measure more than 7¾" wide, measured from the inside seam at base of first finger, along base of other fingers, to the outside edge of little finger edge of glove. The space or area between the thumb and first finger, called crotch, may be filled with leather webbing or back stop. The webbing may be constructed of two plies of standard leather to close the crotch area entirely, or it may be constructed of a series of tunnels made of leather, or a series of panels of leather, or of lacing leather thongs. The webbing may not be constructed of wound or wrapped lacing to make a net type of trap. When webbing is made to cover entire crotch area, the webbing can be constructed so as to be flexible. When constructed of a series of sections, they must be joined together. These sections may not be so constructed to allow depression to be developed by curvatures in the section sides. The webbing shall be made to control the size of the crotch opening. The crotch opening shall measure not more than 4½" at the top, not more than 5¾" deep, and shall be 3½" wide at its bottom. Slightly off topic but did anybody see the shot of the fan with the huge Mizuno glove?
That's what prompted my intial question. If the rules are the same, then that glove "looks" too big.
Wow, a 12 is the limit?? I had no idea. That seems to small to be the limit ... assuming the standard for infield is 11.25 to 11.75.
The gigantic glove in the OF bleachers at the CWS was, I believe, a marketing ploy by Mizuno. The guy holding the glove and his buddies all had Mizuno hats on.

There are legal dimensions for gloves that differ from FED(HS),NCAA and OBR (pro)...
NFHS
The maximum dimensions of any glove or mitt worn by the Fielder (other than catcher) are:
14 inches long and 8 inches wide with a 5 and 3/4 inch webbing between the bottom of the thumb and first finger.
NCAA
The glove may be 12 inches long and 8 inches wide with a webbing of 5 and 3/4 inches at the top and 3 and 1/2 half inches at the botttom.
PRO
The glove is 12 inches long and 7 and 3/4 inches wide with a 5 and 3/4 inch webbing.
The Legal college glove is somewhat smaller than the legal HS model......Now to the point, of all the things I carry onto the field, a tape measure is not one of them.......this is something we do not go looking for.
