Well I have gotten 1 1/2 years out of my catchers mitt and I believe that I will get at least another year out of it. But my question is... Is there really a point when you know that the glove is dead??? Or do you just know??? I just have a feeling that after 1 more year that the glove is going to die.

You can revive or keep any glove alive...Wade Boggs used the same glove for 22+years. It all depends on how connected you feel to the glove AND how much you want to put into it to keep it going.

If you have a backup that is ready and willing, you can send your glove to this lady (http://www.sandalady.com) and get it re-conditioned and relaced. She's worked on gloves from little leaguer to big leaguers, and is said to have worked on 500+ gloves over a single spring training.

The other notable glove repair guy out there is John Golomb, I think his website is the sportsdoctor or the glovedoctor.
