Well you better get ready for a brand new day.

Hey, Chicago, what do you say
The Cubs are gonna win today.

They're singing ...
Go, Cubs, go
Go, Cubs, go

The Cubs are gonna win today.

Go, Cubs, go
Go, Cubs, go

Hey, Chicago, what do you say

They got the power, they got the speed
To be the best in the National League
Well this is the year and Cubs are real
So come on down to Wrigley Field

We're singing now ...

Go, Cubs, go
Go, Cubs, go
Hey, Chicago, what do you say
The Cubs are gonna win today.

Go, Cubs, go
Go, Cubs, go

The Cubs are gonna win today.

Baseball time is here again
You can catch it all on WGN
So stamp you feet and clap your hands
Chicago Cubs got the greatest fans.

You're singing now ...

Go, Cubs, go
Go, Cubs, go
Hey, Chicago, what do you say
The Cubs are gonna win today.

Go, Cubs, go
Go, Cubs, go
Hey, Chicago, what do you say
The Cubs are gonna win today.

Ha, Lilly's mitt slam...three curve balls to fill the count and what do you think's coming? high fasty..duh, not high enough. Young knew that was coming a mile away and he jumped all over that thing. Low and away would have done the trick and first base was open. The sequence was horrible.

There was kid on a team of mine a few years ago who always threw his mitt down when he missed a ball or made a bad play. It was such a predictable thing that, during practice and once in a while during a game when he missed a play, the whole team would wind up and slam their mitts on the ground. It was hilarious all year long. Lou should've yanked him.

My years as a Girl Scout camper just slammed into my brain.....And because "A Girl Scout is helpful"., may I please post the corrected version? Of course, because of the last line has the "G" word in it, it may not be appropriate....

"Day is done, gone the sun,
From the lake, from the hills, from the sky;
All is well, safely rest, God is nigh."
