wow your original. Knew I would create some interesting reply's but honestly thought it would take a little longer for it to get personal...guess not. As an OU fan I am use to the "lack of education" remarks by the ut fans...that's all they have to hang their hats on, that and their wins prior to 1940.

I won't menchin (sp?, I am from Oklahoma though) anything about the typo's in your message.
kirk & sleepy, as if it matters at this point, "they are" = they're & "we are" = we're...

Anyway, as an unbiased observer, I'm wondering how a) OU gives up nearly half-a-hundred to UT, and b) how Mack and other 'horns watch the Fiesta Bowl struggle against a 10 point underdawg, and proclaim they're (yes, "they're") number 1?

Give me Florida tomorrow, and I'm not sure any of them could handle USC.
I agree with you chargerdad, Florida and USC are "probably" the two best teams in the country. But it has been "proven" on the field that UT is better than OU as they beat them head to head. How can you argue that OU is better? Just trying to keep things stirred up, no harm intended! Kirk the only cheese needed would have been on the day UT spanked you guys. Keep putting your faith in the BCS to get you a national championship as I will base my opinions on who is better by what happens on the field!

Judging by all of the grammatical mistakes in your post, I bet you sure are used to educational remarks.

I have little sympathy for the Utes. They pulled out of a game against Texas right before the season started. This would have been a great out of conference game for both teams (the game would have been at Utah this year, and then Texas the next). If you look at their schedule, they far from dominated some poor opposition.
Being a Red Raider fan and totally understanding what "choke" is all about, I would like to cast my vote of the #1 team in the country towards Oklahoma. I'm no OU fan by any means, but the last half of the season they have been taking care of business on the field in a most impressive fashion. Their O-line continuously gives their QB minimal response time, and yet he has the ability to find a receiver that actually catches his passes.

When OU does win, I'm not sure how you can figure USC or any other Pac-10 team into the NC. They just didn't have the overall schedule/talent the Big 12 had this season.

She is just regurgitating what she hears from the football experts she is around the most...
Guys but your forgetting, Florida was beaten by Ole Miss at Gainesville and laid their annual egg against Oregon State early on in the year, so how in the world can you say that USC and Florida be the best two teams in the country! They aren't even the best teams in their divisions right Texas fans? The ONLY team that has a legitimate case to have a chance to win a national championship is then, by your logic, Utah. No one beat them so therefore NO ONE can be better than them.

If it wasn't for a very very favorable fourth down spot, you would have nothing to be crying about right now.

Thank you, Danny! Obviously you're a man that knows how to delivery a complement. Tychco needs lessons. He's just jealous that my oration wasn't "blonde" this time.

And before PD jumps in here, I'm not planning on going to see the Yankees in NYC in February this year.
It's a shame that Run-It-Up Bob couldn't use some of those points he got from leaving Bradford in late in their blow out wins. The classless jerk was once again outcoached on the national stage. Nice call on 4th & goal and trying a 49-yard FG when your kicker hadn't topped 42 all season.

5 consecutive BCS losses for the crimson and cream(ed)? Must be so disappointing for ou fans to keep having their seasons end so miserably.

At least they looked prepared for the statue of liberty this time......

All of you all are being fans who hate OU.

As an objective observer last night, I saw a team who belonged on the field with Florida (something the Big 10 can't say after the last two years). Hindsight is 20/20, but the 4th and goal call only looks bad now because they didn't make it. I watched them play multiple games this year where that same situation resulted in a TD. The field goal try, eh, a mistake I think. But goodness gracious, at least it wasn't a blowout. These were two fairly evenly matched teams with one main difference: Tebow is a man among boys.

Tebow scrambling around on 3rd and longs all night to find a guy is not coaching, it's his amazing ability. And OU's offense struggled the most (I thought) when their right tackle was hurt.

And Beast- Did you not hear the comments about how they were actually playing good defense on that play? Usually that's wide open.

OU played well, got too cute during stretches on offense instead of keeping it simple and then couldn't handle controversy. 4 BCS National Championship games in 9 years. Who wouldn't take that? Any OU fan thinking of firing Stoops is insane. This loss is a lot different than Boise State or West Virginia.
A perfect pass beats good coverage any day. There was good coverage, and a perfect pass. It even looked like to me that it might have been tipped, just the way the receiver's hands moved.

I say Utah and Florida have a one game playoff. Florida barely beats Alabama, Alabama gets dominated by Utah... hmmm.

I'm tired of UT's whining. Get an easy interception or stop a play with 0 seconds or just don't get blown out in the first half and they are in the championship game. UT would've lost too considering they almost lost to the second seed in the Big 10.

I do agree that the announcers were awful last night, and throughout the BCS. It's the BCS National Championship and we have WHO? A Baseball announcer and a guy low on the totem poll for the NFL Network? WOW.

ESPN (especially Craig James) does a great job covering college football and college bowl games...

FOX should have brought in Buck/Aikman for the Fiesta Bowl and the Orange Bowl or better yet Fox should just stick with covering pro football...

I am glad the bowls are over...at least now I don't have to see Switzer on TV every day. Smile
