Tell the kid not to let that stop him. I happen to know of a very stable genius who went to the best schools and has the best words, and has been a tremendous success in everything he's done, and yet he misspells things all the time.

The best reporter I ever had spelled the name of the newspaper wrong in her application. I could fix her spelling, I couldn't improve on her skills.

It's a little early for a JV player to say his baseball is good enough to outweigh his bad spelling, but maybe???
