I found the following on a post on PG's Message Board and thought it would be helpful to print it here too:

If you aren't sure...don't commit

If you think a better offer is on the way...don't commit.

If you think there will be a coaching change...don’t commit.

If you haven't researched all your options...don't commit.

It you haven't taken any of your official visits...don't commit.

If you don't like the school that is your only option...don't commit.

If a coach is pressuring you or offering you playing time...run away!

So many players are committing early and so many players end up somewhere else. Find the place that is right for you…not the default school or where your HS coach wants you to go.

Make sure of your decision...do your research...take your time making your decision and honor your commitment!!!

Going into the recruiting process it seems like all those do's and don'ts are necessary.

They are part of the process.

Then the word "fit" gets inserted into the posts here.

Fit is hard to understand until you've tried on the shoes.

If you've ever put on a pair of shoes and they just "feel" right as soon as you put them on, then you kinda know what "fit" means.

Try some schools on.

One will fit.
