BRADENTON, Fla. -- A familiar face and a touch of Zen may help Zach Duke rediscover the pitcher he used to be.

Hopefully the change in coaches and the extra work will do him good.

Go Zach!

This is what happened to my older son, he had too many people telling him to change this, change that, he lost all confidence in himself. The younger son, not a flame thrower has had much more success simply because
"coaches didn't believe in him" He has proved himself on the field.

"It's simplifying the thought process," Duke said. "It's, 'OK, this is the pitch I want to throw. This is how it's going to feel. Do it.' There's no doubts...

Congratulations Zach, give your Bride a kiss for me! I hope to see you, and meet her in Atlanta sometime!
Tis in fact right that they messed with already successful mechanics after his rookie season. makes you wonder, do these some of these guys in the big leagues (pitching coaches/hitting coahes)know what they are talking about?

Zach, work hard as always.... and remember we're looking for a number two pitcher down here behind Oswalt! Wink Big Grin

And, congrats to the newlywed!!!!
