Good Counsel is pleased to announce that Carl Smith will be the new Head Coach for Varsity Baseball. Coach Smith comes to GC with a long record of achievements and has been widely recognized as an outstanding coach. Over an eight year period at Northern High School in Southern Maryland, his teams captured three conference championships. Smith was named the Washington Post Baseball Coach of the Year three times, and twice he was honored as Coach of the Year by the Maryland State Baseball Coaches Association. Additionally, Coach Smith was named four times as the Southern Maryland Athletic Conference Coach of the Year.
