Good time of the Year

The snow has melted and the fields are drying in breezy, 50 degree sunny temperatures

It is also March Madness Time, one of my favorite sports times each year. This morning my wife and I were at the America East Ladies tournament with bands, cheerleaders and dance teams . Presently the # 1 seed is down by 9 with 12 minutes to play in their game--- great intensity in all the players.

Can't get much better than that even with lack of sleep last nite thanx to UCONN and SYRACUSE

To be truthful at this time of the year I would rather be in the gym watching great intense basketball---tonite we are at the semi finals of the America East Ladies Tournament

Sorry TR...I had to hock my bifocals to help with the gas bill this month. My other pair of glasses, that I picked up at a garage sale last fall, are a little too difficult to figure out. When I wear them I'm not sure if I have only 100 pennies or 10,000.

You're right! It is a great time of the year. Down here in GA we've just finished up our 5 game Dugout Tournament. Two games, it was freezing cold. Three games, it was like early summer. Watching baseball trumps any other sport - indoors or out!

The most wonderful time of the year: College basketball on TV from 11:30am until after midnight. Then more tomorrow. Throw in the high school baseball team is 2-0 and life is good.

Now we can really go nutz---NCAA Men and Women beginning tomorrow and WNIT men and Women already underway---plus the baseball on MLBTV and ESPN

A few years ago I was at a party where a UConn grad insisted we watch the record breaking consecutive wins game. We all got bored. He watched alone.

I can't get excited watching the women do things that are ordinary in the men's game. A good boys high school team would beat any women's college team.
