Good point. Also, how about Hebron. Both are in the DMN area top 10 and deservedly so.

Hebron loses a close 6-4 game to No. 5 Coppell on the road for its only district loss, is 12-4-1 thus far AND has already beaten "No. 8" Flower Mound head-to-head. . .and the Hawks can't crack this stellar Top 10 list???

Swing and a miss here, boys, swing and a miss.

Kellerdad and Planofan, if you are going to diss the last 3 spots, then please provide 3 teams you would sub in...only fair?

I am not saying 8,9,& 10 aren't good teams but maybe after they put a little distance between themselves and .500 then they should be in the Top 10.

Some possible replacements are the previously noted Hebron (they beat Flower Mound),Keller at 12-6 and 4-1 in district, what about Ft Worth Paschal at 12-4 and just went on a 6 game winning streak after beating Allen, Arl Lamar at 11-5-1 & 5-0 in District and on an 8 game winning streak, and Tyler Lee is always tough and are at 11-6, beat Arl Martin early and stayed with Poteet while having 3 errors and only lost 6-5.

I think hot teams and teams with solid winning records both overall and in District should get a nod over other good teams that might just be rounding into shape. JMO

Giving up so soon? I see a complete turn around and sweeping the rest of our games

Not at all, I throw BP every week...

Rankings are for message board fodder and nothing else. I'll take a playoff spot and a 16-14 record over a mid-season ranking any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

OK - Coach you are right, polls are for fodder but it helps us keep track of the various teams.

The whole bottom of the poll lost tonight, now what?

Maybe Mans-Summit belongs in the top, or North Mesquite,or Mesquite or what about Rockwall?

Even with Hebron losing I know they are a good team and I am sure the same can be said for Allen and Berkner. As far as my additions, Arl Lamar lost and so did Tyler Lee.

Are there really only 5 or 6 top teams and 10 or so others that are good but still try to figure it out?

What other team are missing a #1 starter or their top hitter that we don't know about?
Acowboyfan,

I agree with all points, but especially the last one. We have been playing without 2 starters the last 3 weeks. Don't know if it would have made a difference in 1 of our district losses, but it would have in the other. We don't want anyone to feel sorry for us. Our sophomores have stepped up and done a great job filling in.

Oh, I do disagree with you on Mansfield Summit being ranked. We'd rather just "lay in the weeds" if you know what I mean.
