I had the pleasure of spending a day with Gotwood4sale, Play Baseball and two of their daughters on Friday.  It was a fantastic day.  My daughter's college team was playing against one of their daughter's teams.  Though I had met Play Baseball and one of the girls, I had never met Gotwood4sale.  Well, we attempted to talk the ear off of each other both at the games and while eating afterwards.

It was a treat meeting both of their daughters and to be honest, this family is a slice of Americana.  What a neat day!  They got to meet my little girl as well.  When I pointed out to Woodrow, that my little girl was at 1st base, he didn't see a little girl there.  That made me laugh.  For those of you that don't know, my little girl is not so little.  She is very strong.  LOL!  I'm very proud of her and hope that they were glad that they were able to meet and talk to her.

I miss both Play Baseball and Gotwood4sale and wish that they would check in once in a while.  Hey, if either one of you does check in, maybe make a post here as well.  Oh, it was funny as the girls identified me by my screen name.  They are very funny and bright young ladies.  They will do well in life.

Anyway thought I'd give an update on them.  They both are doing fine.

The last time I talked with Woody he was more interested in political discussion and political activity than baseball. As his days ended here most of his time and posts were in our political corner at the back of the board.

Woody and his wife are such nice people when I got out of the hospital last year they made the effort to somehow figure out my mailing address and send me a get well card. All they knew was I mentioned what hospital I had been in. That gave them the state.

RJM, thanks for the post.  That is why they are sorely missed.  They are "everyman" and brought a different perspective to this site.  Yes, Woodrow had turned to more political discussion.  Still, he chimed in once in a while in other threads.

BTW, it was neat getting to see his daughter play and I hope they enjoyed watching my daughter play.  For most of us on this site, it began with our kids or our love of the game.  We were able to share both in an afternoon.
