JT,
Gerald Patterson has been putting on tournaments in beautiful East Tennessee for some time now. The complex is not that great, but the competition is usually good. If you want to play the toughest teams, then request that to Gerald. He can make sure you play the best. I believe that many HSBBWebsters here have had their sons play tournaments there during their careers.

It is a good place that is not expensive for just good clean baseball. If you want the glitter and lights, then it's not for you.

As for scouts, don't expect many. That's not to say there won't be any there, but it's usually not their first choice to attend for a weekend.

We played teams from everywhere; Canada to Florida.

I assume that you found the website. but just in case here is the link: Southeast Baseball Inc.

If you make the trip, good luck & have fun.

JT, My son has played there many times over the years - in the summer and fall. While I never saw many scouts there, there usually were a few college coaches around. It's a fun area to visit, clean restrooms (except a hike from the field on the bottom), and decent fields if you play in the complex. The other games you get to see a couple nice college facilities in the area. It's actually one of the trips I'll miss!

Jeff,
Yes, I remember you well. I believe you lived around the Asheville, NC area when you coached the Crusaders. Seems you were very good with your website back then as well as being a 1st class person.

Looks like our boys are growing up. My 2005 son gave up baseball for football and my 2004 is a soph at Tennessee. I'm just growing old! Wink

It's nice to hear from you, The best to you and your son.

Wes
