Quick question, does anyone know how many credit hours a D1 athlete has to take while they are getting their masters degree?

No practical knowledge, but the rule says full-time "as defined by the institution". (14.2.2.1.5)
Our institution requires 2/3rds of what is required for an undergraduate student. I'd check whatever graduate school you are interested in and see what is written their graduate catalog (that is where it is written in ours). Just google search institution "graduate school catalog"
It actually varies by school. Many of the schools my son spoke to schools that required 9 credits, the one he picked required 12 for graduate students.
