it is great to see the pride you have in you son. The negitive responses are because you are way over the top, you did say you were from Jersey after all. The videos show a decent ball player that needs some mechanics help in his delivery, all arm. The way you ranted I was expecting a bit more. With that said, there is a lot of good skill to work with. Just hope potentials schools don't have contact with you that we have had here, might hinder your sons opportunities.

Funny, my kid gets the same invitations.  South America, Europe, Dominican Republic.  Our kids must be on the same mailing list somewhere.

Hi Guys! This is what men do! As dads I hope to meet each and everyone of you and your kids, I am a bore, I am funny, I am trolling? I just love baseball... think, what is the percentage of kids that make it to the MLB? We train, practice, play games, tournaments, etc., All we can do is try to prepare our children.... Yes grades are important! my question to you is which of your kids posts a 4.0 at a A+ rated school? Be honest.

Mine does. He has an unweighted GPA of 4.0 while taking the hardest classes offered at his school (a very highly rated school where 96% of the graduates go on to college).  I have more stats that go along with that....quantitative information, nothing subjective...but because my son wasn't on a state championship team when he was 12, you probably don't care.

We're good! as of right now we are preparing for Semester Exams, while conditioning and training is still on the schedule! Good luck! or better have you studied! Not to use this as a excuse, remember the age of 16? What was I thinking? it is good to find parents that give a damn! I tell my child, there is nothing you can give me! Once I pass it goes, right back in your pocket! If I was a over the top dad, do you think... I would place my child against the best Fighters as a Blk Belt in the State of FLORIDA! too many people... This State is HUGE! and so, is the competition! and it is only TEXAS and CALIFORNIA! Yes, I am from a place called Scudder Homes! Today, FROM MY EFFORT... MY WORK... I live in a gated Community, with guards, etc.! My Lil' Man has a chance to grow up! No Gangs! Or Environments like SCUDDER HOMES!

Our focus is his education! In the real sense!

THIS IS MY RIGHT,,, My best friend is called Heckler and Koch! as a law abiding, Parent, I have trained to exist! and I will train my son, the same! be nice...

First of all, MIT is not an Ivy. It is an excellent university. MITES is not for everyone. Not everyone wants to be an engineer. Yes, Ivies provide great education and opportunity. But they are not for everyone. The best college is the one where a student is comfortable, succeeds and sets themselves up for the future. The Ivies open doors. But a lot of successful people went to Nowhere State and kicked down the door to success.

Balil - the board is no place for passive aggressive rambling and mixed in with references to guns. Obviously you haven't learned much in your 51 yrs except to sound like a clown and present yourself as the only one to rise from the ashes. Your not back in Scudder Homes, your on HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL WEB. This is a place for those that love the game not a forum to create meaningless drama.

What? Ok I think if I can translate this. In order:
1. It's more rediculous that 9 year olds kill people. No that's tragic. Exclaiming extraordinary for the average is ridiculous.
2. I for some reason need to expand my horizons. Are you sure you know what that statement means? I don't think I'm the one that needs to do that.
3. Apparently I'm some young kid that's not a man. I'm not even gonna get into that one skippy.
4. I don't really understand the walk thing. We're you trying to quote the bible? The walk through the valley of the shadow of death thing.
5. My best friends are Chris and Jimmy.
6. I didn't train to exist. My father's sperm united with my mother's egg and poof I existed.
7. I don't train my son. I raise him.

If I miss understood and translated what you said incorrectly I appologize.

I am FAILING to understand all words that have been written by mr. stream of consciousness.  I ate too much pizza and soda and stomach hurts and this good reason why my mind is cloudy of understanding ... I say for everyone here, playing baseball is like crane kick from karate kid and big home at the end of "The Natural" ... it is final piece of the universal puzzle!  Baseball will live forever because of strong spirit and being in tune with love and goodness.  All hail the knuckleball!!

I go to sleep now and hope to wake up and recover sanity.  Bye Bye.

MIT is the top university for engineering and technology. If the student isn't interested in these majors it's not the best university. There are also many great engineering and technology universities ranked below MIT. From a baseball standpoint, if a kid is an above average D3 prospect with an 800 on his math SAT and wants to major in engineering or technology it's a great choice. Your kid isn't going to MIT or any Ivies with a 3.0 GPA.  So why don't you wait until your son gets accepted before you mouth off and get obnoxious about MIT? Besides, you know nothing of the academic exploits of poster's kids on this site.

To this point you've been nothing but comic relief. You've added nothing to the baseball and baseball recruiting conversation since you appear to know little if not nothing. I suggest you either add something to the conversation or ask questions to learn something about baseball and baseball recruiting before the moderators tire of your act and boot you off the site.

Welcome to hsbaseballweb. Hopefully you won't wear out your welcome and become a contributor.

Bilal, ever hear the phrase, "If you have to talk about yourself, it is probably because others are not"?

This does help remind the rest of us (At least me.) to not be talking up my son and let his talent do the talking.  We are all proud of our kids and want everyone to know how great they are.  If they really are that good, mom and dad don't need to say much.

Bilal,

If someone told you that the Ivy League is the only way for engineering, then they did you a disservice. There are a lot of great engineering schools out there that are not part of the Ivy athletic conference.  Trust me, I've visited them or my son was recruited by them as an engineer/baseball player. You really have a lot more research to do, and you don't know as much as you think.

Your best resource is the people on this site (several Ivy parents, several engineering majors, many high academic parents) but you've pissed them off.  A little humility goes a long way.  You may want to start there.  JMO.

Thanks.  We all need to be reminded of this, including me.

It amazes me how many people just hate... I joined the Air Force after High School, I tried to go to College, but direct duty called! Today, I look for opportunity with work, and training everyday! Not for myself, for my son. My emails range from USC to Harvard, you say I am trolling! Regardless of the outcome, I have done my job!!! Raising, training a young man in a effort to create my hope... A GREAT AMERICAN MAN, CITIZEN, BASEBALL PLAYER! that's all folks!
