master mind at Mississippi State with Coach Polk for years

Jingo5,
While Coach Rock was a great asset to MSU's program for the last few years, to say he was the "master mind" is a quite a stretch and maybe a slap in the face to Coach Polk, Coach Raffo and Coach McNickle... noidea

and Pat MacMahon
Well with Coach Polk being a friend of mine I don't feel like there is any slap to be had here Especially since he himself has referred to Coach Rock as the master mind--now since you are wanting to nit-pick if you read the original message we are talking about pitching not the running of the program or any other area concerning the program just pitching also if you look ( if you want to look) and compare the pitching stats from the last year of Coach Rocks tenure to the present you will see a real difference in the final stats for the year--maybe its a different group of pitchers maybe it was a different moon phase or maybe a different pitching coach -however the program there is great coach polk is the GodFather for sure and I respect him as much as any person I know --There was no slap intended in any way just talking about a great pitching coach-please don't twist the words to make them somthing they are not Wink
Jingo5,
Being well aquainted with all of the coaches mentioned above for several years, I understand all of their strengths. Coach Rock is an excellent pitching coach, but to make the claim that you made is a "sales stretch" and not flattering to any of them.

My post wasn't meant to be a jab at you, or especially Coach Rock, whom I know very well and respect. He is a well respected coach and pitching instructor. In time he may grow to be a college coaching legend, but until then Coach Polk will remain the "master mind" at Mississippi State.
