that is really awesome. I wish more cities would follow suit. I would love to watch HS games, championships etc. be able to watch kids from your area compete on tv. cool.

This is not just a city---this is the entire state

We have a statewide public cable station in PA that broadcasts high school sports. Aside from weekly broadcasts, all the championships are on.

good 4 your state! I wonder what it would cost for high schools to web-cast games and then have 2 volunteers (students) from the high school do the broadcast/web-cast.

I'm sure the volunteers aspiring to get communications degrees could make a go of it. The camera angles and placements would be the only problem. They could start by just putting a computer camera (wide-angle) in the press box behind home-plate. Then they could migrate to higher-end equipment down the road. It's the game broadcast play-by-play that everyone would be interested in anyway. Let's do it !!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of our local cable stations broadcasts replays of HS football and hockey games. Maybe basketball too. But I've never seen them broadcast a baseball game.
