How's this for a great day of HS baseball: All 3 HS teams (C, JV, and V) were able to play games at the local independent Minor League team's baseball field! The KC T-Bones allowed a HS to rent the facility along with the scoreboard, PA, and concessions. It was an awesome day, dropped 2014 son off for the C team game at 9:30am; didn't leave the stadium until 7:30pm. The field was in incredible shape! It was a great day and one that the boys and their families will remember forever!

Great story.

I'll never forget when my son was "dropped" off in much the same manner at the local minor league facility. Will never forget those experiences and the fans loved watching high school games in that venue. He also got to play a high school game in the major league facility but we enjoyed the minor league setting much more due to the intimacy of the setting.

Good stuff
Every year here in Mesa, Arizona the HS's usually get to play a game or two at HoHokum stadium where the Cubs play their spring training games. The facility is actually owned by the city of Mesa. It was quite a thrill to coach my freshman team to a victory on this field two years ago on our way to a city championship.

My son has also had an opportunity to play on it as well a couple of times...his varsity team will actually get a chance to play on it twice this week.

I just reminded him of all the great players who have stepped onto this field and he owes it to their legacies to play the best he can. His response? "I know dad..." LOL!!!
