GREAT SS CLASS OF 2002

Matt Horwath transferred from LSU to UCF. I think he'll be at second this year - that's what the paper says, but you know how the paper can be...

Tordi, Strickland and Gutierrez are all doing well, they all played in the Cape Cod League this past summer. Gutierrez Made the all-star team for the western division.
Hall left Stetson and I think is in Juco.
Cooper left UCF, I was told he went to Rollins for more plying time but he isn't on their roster.
Tordi , Gutierrez and Stickland should all be drafted this June.

I UNDERSTAND B HALL IS AT CLEMSON NOW. WILL HORWATH BE DRAFTED IF HE HAS A BIG YEAR? HE WAS ONCE THE MAN.

hard to say what major league teams are thinking but, he's had two arm surgeries. I think he'll have to play at least one full year without any injuries. Matt is still sophmore because he red shirted one year at LSU.

I HAVE RECENTLY BEEN TOLD THAT STRICKLAND WILL BE A TOP 5 ROUND PICK. IS HE THAT GOOD. HE IS ONLY PLAYING DIV. 11 BALL. THE GUY BEFORE HIM AT BRANTLEY KEVIN MELILLO WAS DRAFTED BY THE A'S LAST YEAR. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW HE IS DOING?BRANTLEY HAS HAD ALOT OF GOOD MIDDLE INFIELDERS WITH F LOPEZ,K MELILLO,HARRIS,STICKLAND,R WEEKS ,J WEEKS.HOW COME THEY DON'T WIN MORE ?

Top 5 rounder doesn't surprise me. Strickland plays for the top ranked D2 team in the country, and about their best player since he got there. He's very good. He's comparable to other early rounders in recent years from around here.

Scouts don't care what uni the kid wears. They care if he can play.

Ben Hall went to Clemson, with coach Rigino, he was never a SS, he is a 2B. SS... maybe in H.S. but, not at the next level. Decent player.
