Great Travel Ball Story

Just so you know, Towny started this with Cool Whip lids. I used to hit them in his back yard for hours.

I was really impressed to read about a travel team that had 6 future big league studs on it until I realized that I have the same kind of talent of my 10U team. If you don't believe me, just ask their parents. One of them is a first ballot HOF'er, class of 2045.

All kidding aside, pretty amazing to see all those kids played together growing up.

The Towny Townsend hitting discs are a neat little tool...I bought a bag of them...the challenge is not hitting them -- it's throwing them!

The cool whip lids are good for no-wind situations.
Discarded bottle caps and the broom stick are even better. Hard to find as everything is plastic these days. But, the bottle caps are what Roberto Clemente used in training. Says he used them in the off season and when he go to MLB regular season, the baseball looked big and easy to hit.

i used to bring a few bags of chik peas, toss them from about 10 feet away. no need to pick them up.
