I've not posted in a long time..... but just letting you Ladies know....in response to some PM'S.......have thought of you all.....and your players.....and hope that all goes well. After being deleted a few months back;...responding to a post from TRHit, and only mentioning the name of a former poster.....nothing more or less......then seeing "Deleted"......well.....I decided it's time for me to move on.....think I wore out my welcome....it has to be my Irish temper....and/or the curse of being a redhead......that.....and....... it's been a tough season for my son......first he hit a foul ball off his foot.....couldn't walk, never mind run for awhile........then he got hit in the head with a ball.....a concussion.....then a hamstring injury.......then pneumonia......followed by a serious sprain.....this tme his left wrist......and now bronchitis........then after by Mother's passing....I found myself in Atlanta for a month.....taking care of a sibling....no one told me when I signed on to be the oldest of seven that I'd have to take over for my Mom.......but such in life.....and I'm thankful to be here for them.....but it means....other things in life have also pulled me away from here......

......in my last posting on this site......I want to reiterate....to any new Mom's reading this......pick a school that will help your son with his future......pick a sure thing........academics......because you never know about injury or illness.....

Best wishes to you all....I've met such great "friends" on this site.......you will always be in my prayers...........I am so very thankful for having found this site and all the information found within....and the wonderful people who contribute...... and.......what a wonderful game it is.........enjoy.....and God bless!

LadyNMom, I am so sorry to hear about your difficult times. Best wishes and thoughts, and do take care of yourself as well as all the others you are caring for.

But--your words above are so true. I hope that people who read this are wise enough to believe you!!
Gail....I know this sight gets frustrating at times....okay....REALLY, REALLY frustrating! Eek But please don't let anyone run you off! If it is for personal reasons and you need to take the time due to everything going on in your life..that is ONE thing and perfectly understandable (even tho you will be missed! Smile). But if it is for any other reason....I hope you will reconsider!

Plus, I'll miss my fellow Boston Terrier friend! Smile

I hope events settle down in your life, sounds like you've had enough turmoil and heartache to last quite awhile. Best wishes and thoughts being sent your way.
LadyN - you are welcome here whenever you want to pop in. Shortstopmom always has some great snacks on the table and the drinks are to die for...

Besides... we redheads have to stick together. Are you aware that scientists are saying that because our illustrious tresses are due to a recessive gene there will be no more little redheads by the year 2090? Confused

Fellow redheads - we must get out there and multiply! Okay - you younger redheads do the multiplication. Me - I'm waiting for grandchildren
Good Lord! I've never encountered so many redheads in one place! Aren't we supposed to be only something like 1% of the population? I'm talking true redheads here. None of those beauties with non-redhead skin! You've got to have the fairness and freckles to go with the hair, or no fair!
Anyway, I'm new to this site. What a terrific resource as my son makes his way in baseball. He's a 13 year old 8th grader -- heading to high school this fall. I'm sure we'll find all sorts of helpful insights here. The ladies only forum and all the fellow r.h.s are a plus!
Welcome to the HSBBW emeraldvlly. You have found a gem of a website. I also have a 13 year old son but he's only in 7th grade. This is a great place for information especially now that your son will be in HS. Be sure that you and he read all the articles and timelines. I feel totally blessed that I found this site.

You know, I've had these same thoughts... there's a lot of us on this site! I am as real of a redhead as you can get... although here lately, I've been finding someone's grey/white hairs that appear to be falling on me!

Welcome to HSBBW emerald! Smile

That is soooooo funny! That is what they say, isn't it!!! LOL My grandmother was also a redhead and instructed me all of my young life, that was the color for "us"!

Green is my favorite color though! Don't wear much of it, but have that color all through my house! Smile
Green in all glorious shades! My closet has a pretty extensive selection. My kids give me grief about it. I TRY to but clothes in other colors, really I do! Black, brown, I'm really colorful aren't I? Actually, my language is the only colorful thing about me, other than my hair! And I am always trying to work on that. NOne of my kids have red hair -- I think I'm glad. Two in one house is dangerous, isn't it?
emerald - Neither one of my children have my red hair neither. They both have their dad's blonde/brown hair, darker complexions, and brown eyes. Really don't look much like me at all. However, it's a running joke, that the one that gives me a red headed grandchild (many years down the road of course) will inherit everything!! Wink

Of course, they both know there's nothing to inherit! Big Grin
I think I may some day have a grandchild with red hair. Daughter has brown hair and blue eyes (lots of red highlights) and son has blonde hair / blue eyes (he was a strawberry blonde during infancy). Only documented blonde on either side of our family is paternal Grandpa (as a child). Must go back to the great grandparents to find blue eyes. Aren't recessive genes fascinating??
