Besides being able to play ball, coaches like players who are able to show that they like being part of a team. Community service work can accomplish that and usually is a requirement for graduation, but don't be afraid to do more than you have to. Try to get involved with another activity in school, only if it doesn't interfere with your school work or baseball.
