Let's hope it is just a muscle strain. Sounds somewhat when DK pulled a muscle in 2006, good thing he is up to see the doctor!

Being so far away and not knowing what he's going through, thinking, or hearing is the hardest part. Who had that lousy idea about cutting the umbilical cord anyway???

H3, I have a pretty good idea about some of your feelings. I hope that things will turn out well for your son.
If I could offer any words of wisdom, it would be to not let the distance be a roadblock. Make sure you and your son know of his options for 2nd opinions, to be involved, and to be informed. They can be invaluable on diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation/recovery.

Prayers and best wishes for your son. I will say that Dr. Buss of the Twins is very good, has an excellent reputation as a shoulder and elbow specialist. He is also a nice guy!
