From everything I've heard Coach Kinne is a great guy. The campus and athletic facilities are undergoing major improvements. They are currently renovating the football stadium and I believe they are in the process of a modernization of their old gym/weight room which I've heard will make that a great place for their athletes to train (I think their non-athletes workout in in the newer gym/field house). This year they also opened a new library, which I've heard is really nice. I have also heard of improvement plans for the baseball field. Plus, maybe I'm biased because I grew up about 2 miles from the front gates of H-SC, but I think it's a great area to spend four years.
New football stadium, library, gym expansion and upgrades (baseball now has their own locker room vs sharing with the football program). Lots of talented freshman in last years' class. Not sure what this year will bring in but do know there are more than 40 guys trying out.

One area of concern is the loss of both assistant coaches, neither one has been replaced yet. Coach Blair announced he was leaving at the end of last spring. Coach Huffman just left within the past few weeks.
We compete against HSC and Coach Kinne each year. He's a good guy, good coach, nice field. I could never say anything bad about the program. It is located in Farmville, there's not much there, and it's an all guys school. Their "old" gym is going through renovation for new lockerooms and weightroom I believe. Their field was redone a couple years ago. If your a pitcher I think the mound is like 10 feet tall :-)
