I couldn't make it to the ABCA in Chicago, but my mentor and college coach Hank Burbridge was honored with this prestigious award.
I wanted to say thank you to those of you (if any) who spoke at the ceremony. Hank died in February of last year after 40 years and over 1000 wins at the collegiate level. I got to see and hear the presentation this week - and it brought tears to my eyes remembering a great man and a phenomenal coach.
If you knew Hank, let me know - it meant a lot to have him honored by the ABCA. Coach Knight

Coach Knight.......as you know, Hank was a fabulous mentor for me and when we met on the field we competed fiercely......I was honored to be asked by his son-in-law Tim last spring to speak during the reception following his funeral. He will forever be a big part of the ABCA and my life.
