Thanks cabbagdad.  I hope you enjoy your day.

It is very meaningful to me.  I'm very fortunate to have my Dad around, and in good health for his age.   I appreciate his wisdom and company as I know many people do not have that luxury.   Father's Day is sometimes a difficult time for my wife who lost her father at a young age.  Today, I told my Dad I loved him.  He had a tough time reciprocating verbally (his generation has a tough time with that), but that doesn't change a thing.  He's the best.

Yessirreee!  Happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there.  Sometimes we get on you for all those rose colored glasses, but I like what a former coach of one son said about that.  Its your job, for crying out loud!

Who else would do it if you didn't?

I miss my own dad immensely.  Not a day goes by for over 28 years where I don't think about him.  He was the most honest person I ever knew and his work ethic was off the charts.  I wish my kids coulda known him, but in a sense they did because I owe virtually everything I am...to him.  And I wish he coulda been here in person to see what they're doing…but I know he's watching from above.

Thanks...for everything...Dad!
