I'm going to confess something here. Smile When I was a freshman in college - 1982 - I wanted some candy, it was Halloween, I was poor and I was hungry. I dressed up and went knocking on doors with everyone else. I actually thought I looked young and cute. At one house, the guy opened the door, took one look at me and said, "Man, they're getting older every year. I was handing out pennies, but I could offer you a beer!" heehee
Our town does trick or treating the night before and has one of the coolest night parades on Halloween. It's a lot of fun.

Also, someone was just telling me that in Missouri - registered *** offenders have to stay home on Halloween, with their porch light off and are not allowed to hand out candy. I got this second hand so I don't know if its true or not, but it's a good idea. Not sure how they would enforce that.
Yes, that is the law as it sits now. 1) no outside lights or halloween decorations 2) no contact with kids 30 not allowed outside until after 10:30pm 4)post sign saying no candy at this house.

However, I don't know why, but, ACLU wants to get it repealed as a violation of the rights of said offenders. The claim is that some of these offenders have kids or grandkids and should not be kept from Halloween with their kids after they have done their time.
