As a former Jarhead, I just wanted to let you know how very much I appreciate what all you do with those boys overseas that allows them to play the greatest game on earth.

I can't begin to tell you how much I am pulling for your son, and I can't wait to hear the stories soon!

The success stories are easy for us proud Dad's to write but it's the hard-luck ones that we can never seem to muster up. But I have found here on HSBBW on more than one occasion for myself personally or others who have written from their heart about tough situations, etc. how others here have surrounded me/them with encouragement and support.

I hope we can continue this here on HSBBW. To me, it is one of the many reasons I keep coming back.

Thanks, YGD! It is Christmas morning here - 5:30am, and I'm the only one awake. The kids used to get up at like 2am, all excited, put on a movie.....and fall back to sleep so we'd have to re-awaken them later. I miss those days! My daughter is 12 and the Christmas magic and wonder is still alive and kicking in her, so I will treasure this Christmas especially as that true childhood wonder and anticipation will not last forever. Ah jeez, now I'm all sentimental. Dangit!

Anyway, thanks for the well-wishes, and I wish you and your family all the best during this season and in the coming year!
