Wanted to share - one girl got the standard (well for some folks!) dozen long stemmed red roses, but they were in a red vase. That vase makes them the most beautiful and unusual arrangement I've ever seen!!! I highly recommend the combo - beautiful!!! Smile

Hey guess what!!!

Mr. play baseball read this thread and actually went out to buy me one dozen genuine long stemmed red roses in a red vase!! And I owe it all to you, lafmom!

Thanks!! penguinballoon (times twelve!!!)

It's kinda funny playbaseball, because while all us were very impressed with that arrangement (the couple is very young and engaged), all of us over 40 women were calculating what it must have cost. And that's exactly what I was thinking!!!! That would have paid for such and such!!! Big Grin

Aren't the roses pretty in that red vase though?!?!? I had never seen that combination and it is striking! Tell your husband he's a good guy! Smile

Mrs. JT got my time. We spent Friday afternoon together picking out material at a quilt store--for almost 3 hours. Yes, complete patience and actual constructive feedback. That, and chili cheese fries tonite.

JT,Jr outdid me, though. Had valentine signs lined up along his girlfriend's driveway expressing his feelings. Was up at 4 AM to do the signs.
Oh my, JT and JT Jr both get mega, mega, mega points for thoughtfulness and patience. Very, very good Valentine attributes!

I have not heard yet what my older son (19) came up with for his girlfriend - today is the 2 year anniversary of them officially "going steady" so it had to be something special! eyelove

Meanwhile hubby is still working late, but stopped by earlier to be sweet and huggable, which he is very good at. inlove
JT - The old saying of "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree"!!! Very nice!

LadyNMom - Good guess - both of them have a son at the same school! Is she right Play&Wood? forwardroll

Edit: I know what my son gave his girlfriend! A dozen long stemmed red roses that his mother paid for!!!! Roll Eyes I realize you never know - she may be the one and I may need to live in their basement one day! noidea

FBM - My son and I actually, jokingly, (I think Eek) had a conversation about that one time. He said that he would want to pick out the "home" to make sure it was the best, but that he was leaving my daughter's name and number as the emergency contact! Smile

I told him I was cutting him out of my will, but for some odd reason, that didn't seem to phase him!!!! Could be the bank statements laying around the house!

Hopefully it will have a computer and all my friends will still be around!!! LOL
