I've had some questions recently from parents, coaches and college players about using the harness for training purposes, so I wrote an article about it.

Implementing Harness Training into an off-season/pre-season strength program can be very beneficial for increases in initial velocity and lateral change of direction movements. We usually start to add these in once December and January roll around.

We don't really use this in-season because athletes are already playing in this absolute speed spectrum. The focus in-season is strength.
