Harold Reynolds... does anyone know what happened to him?

Harold was dismissed by ESPN over accusations of sexual harassment by a co-worker. Reynolds denied the charges, asked for a hearing. Haven't heard anything since except that he is still gone.

without him and Peter Gammons on baseball tonight, it is tough to watch.

I don't care what Harold is accused of doing. We all know it all about the Benjamins.

He was the ABSOLUTE BEST commentator for the College World Series for the past few years.

On his website he stated a while back that he and his wife took a much needed vacation. He also stated that he is going to fight these charges as far as he can take it. This isn't his site, His is being updated. But here is more on the his side of the story.

I thought he did the Little League World Series. He did both? Don't know why I can't recall!

He did both...but was REALLY GOOD, in my opinion, during the College World Series games.

I have got to agree with Beenthere. Harold was awesome calling the College World Series, Little League World Series and on Baseball tonight. He was always so positive, and upbeat, he really took College Baseball Broadcasting to the next level. To have to sit through John Kruk, Steve Phillips (who is a big time womanizer, and was accused of Sexual Harassment when with the Mets)is awful sometimes. I miss Harold. If in fact he was Sexually Harassing women at ESPN, then he should pay for his crimes, but I still miss him. I had also heard that Harold was being interviewed for a possible job in Broadcasting with the Seattle Mariners, don't know if he got it or not. But that is the latest. Yes he was looking to plead his case with the Suits at ESPN, and don't know if that ever happened. I am sure he got a nice severance package to just go away.

Have to agree. Harold is THE best. Contrast him with that know-it-all Theisman on MNF. Yikes!

I alway's liked Harold, I hope everything get's settled and Harold get's another chance to work for a network.

Harold has filed suit against ESPN for wrongful termination seeking about 6 million in damages.
Apparently the issue is that he hugged a female intern, later that evening had dinner with her. three weeks later she complained that the "hug" constituted sexual harassment and Reynolds was fired on the spot.

From reading what constitutes sexual harassment, I'd wager that there's a lot more to the story than just what Harold Reynolds wants you to believe.

An innocent hug by itself doesn't constitute sexual harassment. It'll be interesting to see how this all plays out.

You may or may not be correct. In today's world people are looking to file suit against someone with money and hope that they come to some type of financial agreement before the case ever goes to court. If his record with ESPN is clean and it is his word against hers with no additional information this case will be hard to prove. I was on a jury one time and a man & woman both wanted to award over 500 grand to someone and the excuse was that the person was rich and 500 grand would not hurt them at all. Some people have the opinion that if you can get money without working for it that is what you should do. I see this happen every day.

Can't help but think that ESPN has good HR department/legal advice that would prevent them from making such a costly mistake......if not.....then they need to get one.....quick.

That said....Harold....come on back....we miss ya!
