Hi Everyone

I just recieved an email frm Pro-Day Showcases advertising a showcase coming to Jupiter. Has anyone had their son attend a Pro-Day Showcase and if so could you please give me feedback regarding the showcase.

Were there college coaches? Were they at least the top assistant coach?  Has anyone gotten any specific results?

Thanks in advance for feedback.

My son attended a one-day showcase last year in our hometown and since then has been contacted by the organizers and scouts, college coaches and some major league scouts attended a high school game to watch him play, unbeknownst to us at the time.  The showcase was well-organized and information given to the players was very helpful--no time wasted during the event.  Each attendee received a feedback report that could be used for recruiting purposes and were met with individually to discuss their performance.  At our showcase the boys warmed up and went through drills specific to their positions, all were able to bat and they were evaluated by former/current pro scouts and local high school coaches also assisted. They had a short lunch break, then back to work.  In fact, we just left a tournament today where a Pro-Day official was in attendance. All in all it was money and time well-spent and we plan to attend again this summer.  Hope this response is not too late.  Oh, one more thing, if your son attends, make sure he is early/on time, looks professional (baseball pants and belt, not shorts, jersey of some kind if he has one available, hat, jersey tucked in) and conducts himself like he's a serious prospect--they mentioned how much first impression makes on coaches/scouts given the fact they may not ever stay to watch an entire game, but may be somewhere watching how players walk to the dugout, how serious they take warmups, etc.  Good luck.
