Please read the book by David Halberstam "October 64". The book describes the true story of a St Louis Cardinal team with strong leaders - Bob Gibson, Lou Brock, Tim McCarver.

When I "faced" Bob Gibson in Watertown, South Dakota, I honestly could not see the ball. It look like an aspirin tablet. I decide to hit by "sound".

After removing the back chalk line, the umpire said "move up"! I said you "move back".

Finally, I decide to swing the bat to my best guess and Bob Gibson's pitch hit the bat and the ball disappeared over the right field fence.
