My sons H.S. tryouts start Monday. He just got over being sick for 2 weeks with a very bad upper respiratory infection. He has been cleared by his doctors to play. However, he is still not at 100%.
My question is, should I inform his coach. I don't want them to think that he's out of shape or not trying to get his running in. Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

As a coach I do want to know this information.
I would prefer to get it from 1) the player 2) the school nurse, 3) the parent in that order.
However, getting the info is way more important than whom I get the info from.

That's just me. Our nurse at school does a fantastic job communicating with our coaching staff on who is dealing with health issues...
