For those of you who are still hoping to be taller, here's a height predictor for 8-16 year olds that don't factor in parental heights. It looks at sitting height compared to standing height and age. (Legs grow before torsos).

While there are outliers you can’t ignore parent’s height. My son was 5’2” when he excelled in a 13u tournament sponsored by a private school that recruited for sports.
Since I was the head coach the school’s coaches could see my height. They asked his mother’s height. Given his five years older sister had grown to 5’10” I added that information.
My son fell into the range of the wives tale our prediatriacian said was far more true than not. Boys will typically grow to be 6-8 inches taller than their mother. My (ex) wife is 5’8”. My son is 6’2”.
My experience in coaching is reflective of an old basketball coach who did not recruit based upon the height of the mother. LOL BTW, my wife and I are not tall. My daughter is 6 foot tall. Go figure.
I am not tall and either is my wife. At around 5 years old our pediatrician told us that our 2015 would be 6'-2" to 6'-4". I looked at my wife and said "time for a new pediatrician since this one lost his mind!" Well......he is 6'-3"!
I'm 6' 6" and Trev's mother in 5' 2" - My eldest is exactly 6' and my youngest is 6' 5" - I found the growth charts very accurate for them both. Although the 6' 5" son hit his final growth spirt late. I hit my big growth spirt between 12 and 13 - approximately 12 inches in a year.
I found a height predictor calculation somewhere online years ago that used several body measurements taken on the child's 3rd birthday. It happened to be right before my oldest son turned 3, and I tried it. It said he'd be 6'1", I was skeptical because he was very average size at the time. He's now 6'2" going into Jr year of HS.
Tried it again on my younger son's 3rd birthday. He was always on the tall side, and it said he'd grow to be 6'3". He's just a hair under 6'3" now, he's only 14 and and I think he has another inch coming.
Whatever that formula was, seems pretty accurate

I found this height predictor tool online many years ago. Used it for my youngest son. I believe the age range was 12-16 then. Still have all his seated measurements marked on the wall Lol. It predicted his exact height. Included his BF in the experiment and it was exact for him as well. The height predictors using mom and dad's height were off by 2.5 inches for my son.
My son is closing in on 20 years old and is still growing or perhaps I am shrinking or maybe a little of both. He just looks a lot taller to me these days. Growth charts had him pegged right the whole way. As noted last year he officially (at docs) came in at 6 foot 2 which means we can list him as 6 foot 4.
My kids tower over me. When they were going through the recruiting process, I'd hide at games and make sure any coaches would watch them before seeing me.

Lol. This is what I do too. I'm 5'2" and know I didn't reach full height potential because of my diet and frequently ill as a child. I try to have my tall husband take our son to his baseball stuff.
