Most if not all of the questionnaires my son has received want to know if his interest in the school is extreme, moderate or low and want to know his top 3 school choices. How do you answer when a school is NOT high on your list? Honestly or do you go ahead and say your very interested and include the school on your top 3?

We don't want to burn any bridges so to speak, but honestly at the point you are filling out a questionnaire in some cases, you don't know enough about a school to know how strongly your are interested.

I think that honesty is the best policy.
It's ok to let a coach know that school is not high on his priority list, or even on it, that gives him an idea how hard he has to recruit that player, if HE is interested. Hey, my son knew nothing or had no desire to attend where he did when he got their first questionaire.
Things change. Smile

Sportsmom, I remember those same questions and it also made me feel um, sorta weird to answer they were high on list when we had no idea about the school. I would say that if the school isn't on your son's personal radar for various reasons, i.e. location, division, religious affiliations, etc. then I would have him answer with his conscious.

Good luck!
