i'm coaching high school jv baseball. i can't find many references to calling time out. the situation is as such: my player slides into 3rd, he is ruled safe. i ask for time out, my player lifts his leg and then is ruled out by the ump. i won;t go into the fact that his under leg was still on the bag, and the ump wasn't in position to see it. in the rule book i can't find any place where a player must ask for time out. 2 umpires have told me that the player must ask for time outs. i can't find it in the NFHS rule book. if anyone can help, please respond. thanks, clark
