It is looking like Manfred is bringing the Pitch Clock and limits on the mound traffic regardless of MLB Players buy in.

We'll finally see if it speeds up the MLB game as much as I hope it does.  If they can shave 15-20 minutes off of a game time - I think it will make the game much better.

Players objection might also have longer term implications if a deal cannot be reached.  This has the potential to be one of those things that could fray the improved relationship between MLB and Players over the last couple of decades.

I agree. The clock is only enforced on pitches with no runners. I don’t know what the average number of pitches is thrown WRO, but let’s say it’s half of the pitches thrown and there are a total of 300 pitches in the game. Each of the 150 pitches WRO would have to save 6 seconds in order to save 15 minutes. I don’t see it. 6 seconds is a loooong time in something like this, where most of those pitches would be thrown well under the 20 second limit.
