This kid is better than Vick because he runs under more control and he can actually throw the pigskin! Credit his coach with rolling the dice on a wide open offense in the much too conservative NFL.

I agree with sox partly. eventually young will be better. not right now tho. vick is pretty bad tho.

I don't think anyone here actually made a strong enough point, because I agree with everyone. I think that Vince Young is an amazing quarterback. I also think that the Giants, and Coughlin, should be shot for the meltdown yesterday (and the DL who decided to just not tackle Young on 3rd and long, whatever his name is). The argument that Vince Young is a great player has nothing to do with the Giants' loss yesterday. I don't see anything he needs to prove other than consistency, in my mind he showcased just about everything in the USC game last year.

Eli is throwing some ducks. He's not making the right decisions and it's hurting the team. Players are calling out the coaching staff and other players. The HC needs to take charge. And he isn't. I'll agree with TRhit, it's the coaching.

Maybe, in the near future, we'll see UK product Jared Lorenzon get a chance? Nah, fat chance.

Vick was brought up as a comparison. Young's runs sunday were the best the NFL has seen at the QB position...and the most important in a regular season game.

I beg to differ soxnole. Did you see Tom Brady juke Urlacher out of his jock on a 3rd and 11 play Sunday?

Okay, as a former Hokie, I've got to take exception-there has never ever been a quarterback that runs like Vick. None. The Youngs, Vince and Steve, are and were extremely good, but nobody runs like Vick.

Now if he can learn to hold on to the football, keep his middle fingers down, and get some solid QB coaching/mentoring from someone like Steve Young, he may someday fullfill his ridiculous potential. I suspect he needs to act like he has less physical talent,and use his head more. Clearly he can act with a level of quickness few can match. We'll stay tuned.

Young had a good game...that does not make him a great QB. Time will tell. If you think about it, he has only had 1 year of high level playing. Again, time will tell.

About Vick...if you hear ANYONE in the NFL talk about him, there is only 1 player with his speed and explosiveness...Reggie Bush. If you hear them talk about his arm...he has all of the throws in there. His problem is decision making. THAT is the equivalent of a baseball hitter's curveball. Some can handle it and some can't. Time will tell for Vick, too.
