High Point University

We just visited the campus a couple of weeks ago. It is verrrrrry nice. Almost like a country club. The outdoor pool in front of the student center is a nice touch. Recently renovated field is very nice as is the athletic building. They are building a new business school building as well as some other facilities. Son liked it best out of all 9 schools we visited in NC and SC.

We know absolutely nothing about the baseball program other than what's on this site and on the web page. Sorry.

Building a good program, Sal Bando Jr will have a great program in a couple years...

Thanks, their new field looks beautiful.The whole campus looks beautiful on their website. But that is sometimes a bit deceiving.
Anybody know anyone who plays baseball there, academics? Type of students?

From what ive heard a lot of people from the North are coming down to go to High Point...The avg sat I beleive is somewhere between 900-1090 for a regular student..theres 3000 undergrad/graduate students..I cant tell you much about the team only that their an up and coming program, they play a demanding schedule in the Big South not to mention out of conference.

Academic reputation is only OK.

For years now High Point has been popular with Northeastern students in general, not just athletes


The fact that it is in NC and not that difficult in admissions may be the reason

Several kids from out town are down there for that very reason. But as I said before, it is a really, really nice campus.
