Beaver Creek Classic
West 9 - Oak Ridge 8 in 6 innings.
West jumped to an early 8-2 lead after 2 innings. Starter David Zeanah was pulled after a designated 2 innings. Jon VanHoesen had trouble finding the plate and Oak Ridge mounted a comeback. Taylor Ross entered the game in the 4th and quieted the Wildcat bats until the bottom of the 5th when he surrendered a 2 run homer.
Jared Mullins made an appearance for the Wildcats in the top of the 6th. It was good to see him back out there.
West plays Franklin Co. tomorrow.

Tanner Hiles pitched 5+ for West. Sam Michalik relieved Hiles in the 6th and surrendered 1 run in the top of the 7th before stranding two Franklin Co. baserunners.
West plays White Co. tomorrow for 1st place in the Oak Ridge Pool.
