High school coach let go

We had a similar situation going into our older son's junior season.

My advice is for now to use the outgoing coach on the questionnaires. But only with his consent.

When the new coach is hired, try and meet with him and get him up to speed about all of this and ask (not demand) for his help.

Talked to his coach last night after the awards banquet. He would love to continue to be a reference for my son. This was what I was hoping for. I wasn't sure how bitter he would be about being let go, but he is keeping it in perspective and handling it well.

The only part I wonder about, is that he isn't still his high school coach, but I think he'll still list him, and if someone calls, he can explain that to the caller.

Thanks for the info about the tournament, but we have so much on the plate already for this summer, that we will be looking at ways to cut our schedule back due to time and money constraints.
