I thought I would check the online Urban Dictionary to see if it could shed any light on this, seeing as we're all definitely stumped. Here's what I found, with examples of proper usage:

1. stump
the remaining part of an amputated limb (i.e. arm or leg)
"Cherry's stump is so freakin' attractive even if it's just three inches from her hip."

2. stump
A short, poorly dressed **** actress;
"Look at the stump hanging on to Lukas Rossi like a cold sore."

3. stump
A girl who is physically attractive, yet is lacking in peronality. Attemping to hold a conversation with a tree stump would be equally interesting.
"That girl is fine, but hot dang... what a stump!"
(I assume a guy could also be a stump, from the woman's perspective)

4. stump
a person who is short and stubby in stature
"Brian, you are such a stupid little stump."

5. stump
the bottom part of a muffin.
"what, u dont like the stump?"

6. stump
v. (politics) The act of delivering a stump speech.

I think KC is closest to the truth so far. I would lean towards this being about a kid who talks a big game, but doesn't match it on the field.
There was a reality TV series a few years back called Everest. It basically was about a bunch of rich guys trying to climb the mountain so they could go back and impress their friends. I believe they said the costs were something like 75,000/person to be part of a climb.

Anyhoo... one of the guys had both of his legs amputated above the knees and he wanted to be the first double amputee to climb Mt. Everest. What seemed silly to me was that the guy lost his legs from frost bite on another climb in Africa. Oh well...

The guy eventually made it to the summit of Everest. His legs were so worn down by the climb however that he could not make it back down under his own power. They had to have Sherpa's haul him down in a sled. He said that his legs were so sore from where the prostetics were fitted that they basically turned into "stump juice" - it caused him to lose another 4-6 inches off his stumps when he got back to the hospital Eek Question - Is trying to impress your friends really worth losing your stumps over? Big Grin

What the???!!!! I know Kilimanjaro has snow on it (or used to), but is it really possible to get frostbite severe enough, in AFRICA, to lose both locomotive limbs?

These sherpas go up and down Everest all the time, usually without oxygen, and never get any credit. Hilary did credit Tenzing Norkay. I wonder if this guy ever even learned the names of his sherpa rescuers.........

Sorry about that Krak - it was Mt. Cook in New Zealand where he had the accident. Here is a link to the story...

No Spizzle, Skip had a twin brother named Bob.
Before they're unfortunate accident.
Skip and Bob used to tour the Logger Rodeo and Monster Truck Stump Jumping Rally.
Bob and Skip were World Champion Tagteam Log Roller's.

Until Bob bought the Creamy instead of Chunky.
Well I really can't tell you the rest of what happened.
It's to horrifying.
Maybe someone else could explain.
It's to hard on me.
The Girls ought to Love me??

I don't want to give away the ending Woody, but I can tell you he eventually changes his name to Bob.

Skip's family has a SeaRay fully equipped for water skiing. Bob's family has a Sevylor inflatable two-man raft.

They are not related, and their economic circumstances are revealing. They do, however, have one thing in common -- or rather four.
