The batter squared in the box to bunt and offered at the pitch but missed the ball. The ball never broke, and the batter was hit in the chest. The ball never touched the bat, and the count on the pitch was 1 - 1. Does the batter get awarded first base? He was hit by the pitch, but he offered at the pitch.

If he offers and gets hit by the pitch it's a strike.
