usually ill stand and take it but it depends on the pitche*how hard they are throwing* and the situation in the game
Definitely depends on the situation on the game. If you've got bases loaded and your down then of course take it no matter how fast, unless it's at a part of your body that will be injured. If there's no one on and nothing big going on avoid getting hit and try to get a single to start things up. That's what I think.
afirmative...LOL
wow it;s tied
personally, no matter what the situation is i let myself get hit...cuz if theres nobody on if u get hit...theres a baserunner to get it started. and if the bases are loaded...theres a run...so if you think about it...if you let it hit you..its a win win situation
u wiuld move if the ball is going right toward a area where i could be injured for a long time
Lets not be foolish here...........one base in one game is never worth losing games out of your season.......this isnt the seventh game of the world series......
PLUS........
Remember the rules say you must make an effort to get out of the way to be awarded a base.....now, I am very lenient on this ............but if you dip into a pitch.....all you get is a bruise and get to stay at the plate..............

I led my team in hit by pitches this season because I don't move. If you rotate correctly, you can actually protect all areas that woul cause injury, and also it appears as though you are trying to avoid the pitch. It all actuallity, you can actually turn, and end up closer to the plate.
I've done this for years and have only been warned one time by an umpire for attempting to get hit. That situation was with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh when we were down by one. I ended up getting walked anyway, and the batter behind me hit the game winning single.

ive missed 1 game in three years and each of those years i lead my team in hbp's and only missed one game in all three years because i slid into third and dislocated my left ring finger and i have played the rest of a game with a elbow that i dislocated being hit by a pitch
I try to turn my body to get hit. Last year i was hit on the elbow becuase i did'nt turn correctly. I know that getting hit on the elbow is a bad spot, but what do u think is the worst spot to get hit.
i dont know about worst spot, but when i was 12 i was hit in teh nose by a pitcher who threw 70+ in little league. i gto 11 stitches. When i truned away it hit off my earflap and cut part of my nose. Thats the worst i've ever seen/ been a part of.

Worst spots......Elbows, wrists, lower frontal ribs...collarbones
Best spots...Back and Butt
In 20+ years of umpiring Ive seen plenty of seasons and HS careers ended by HBP.........bail if you can, protect yourself if you cant..,
