How important do you think it is for high school players to see live pithcing from the mound.

Everytime I watch a practice I see coaches pitching from 40 feet, etc., and it just drives me crazy....

Maybe I'm wrong, but don't you need to see the ball coming from the distance it is going to come from in a game...???

Do the pro practice pitchers pitch from less than 60 feet 6 inches???

Have you watched the All Star HR Hitting contest

All the pro guys my son has been around say they only do tee work and front toss during the off season. My son's hitting instructors didn't start hitting live until a couple weeks ago.
