I seem to have a problem of hitting under the ball and always either hitting a bunch of fouls and striking out eventually, or popping everything up. Any suggestions?? Also, I hit everything fine in the batting cage, but when I get into a game, I barely average 1 hit per game. Any help?? Thanks.

Dropping your lead elbow and/or rotating your wrists prior to contact is always a good place to look when this happens. Happens with my son also during these early season games, looks great in the cage, nice and relaxed, but when he steps into the box he will tense up, drop his front elbow which causes his wrist to roll prior to contact, which inturn drops the bat head and that nasty pop fly outcome. Just my thoughts
As everyone has already said, you are probably dropping your back shoulder... but the main reason u are is probably because u are lunging. From what you say, "doing fine in the cages", i think u are just too anxious and lunging and being too much on your front leg. It took me 1/2 the season to figure out this one for myself. Hope this helps.
