Today I listened to Derek Jeter's acceptance to the Hall of Fame.

There was a "common" tread in his recognition of his parents, teammates, coaches. That was "winning".

Today, parents, coaches are too often influenced by the word "metrics".

Metrics means little, if a player does not know "how to win". Successful college coaches know how to teach winning.

Very good point, so true. the problem is that winning means very little if you aren’t on the team.

However there are many teams.

The "Classroom", "Business", "Family"!
