Found it interesting that Prince said in the post-derby interview on ESPN that he choked up a bit after the first round. There's a good topic on choking up in the hitting forum, btw. Also, he said he swings a 33.5 inch bat.

Not what I was expecting from a big power hitter like Prince. Most of the bigger guys these days swing longer bats. I was just a bit surprised.
Chicks dig the long ball, and yesterday had a lot of them. Some very impressive home run swings yesterday. I don't know what was wrong with me but I actually felt bad for Robinson Cano. I've never felt bad for a Yankee before. Hopefully this feeling will pass within 24 hours. Wink

This year I was paying particular attention to the pitchers that were serving up these balls. I missed the entire first round as I was coming back from youngest son's baseball game. It looked to me that Jose Bautista's and his pitcher were not on the same page. He fought through it to win the "Hit-off" against Trumbo and make it to the finals. Fielder and his pitcher were clearly working well together. I just didn't get that working together well sense with Bautista. Did anyone else get that feeling?
