Have any advice for homeschoolers who want to play college ball? We live in a state which doesn't allow homeschoolers to play with public schools, & we're just trying to make some plans for the next few years. Our 8th grader is starting for a private school varsity team, but we're wondering what else we'll need to do to get him noticed.

Welcome to the HSBBW!!!

Fortunately for you, alot of the recruiting process these days takes place during the summer months on travel teams and on the showcase circuit. There are a seemingly endless amount of options out there so good luck sifting through all of them. The East Cobb Baseball Program (located in your home state) is one of the most widely known travel team organizations in the nation so that might be a good place to start. But there are dozens of options there in GA.

Luckily, as a eighth-grader, your son has plenty of time to find the right fit.

Kudos to you for personally accepting the responsibility for educating your children. We homeschooled our children and they are reaping the benefits. Ultimately, our son attended public high school to be HS athlete. Worst education decision we made while raising our children.

There are home school baseball teams across the nation. I did a quick google search and found a listing of 4 teams from Atlanta who participated in the homeschool World Series. There are links from this page to 3 of the teams. If these are not convenient I am confident that by contacting any of these teams they can help you find a homeschool team closer to your hometown.
