UIC beats Wright State 14-2 after 5 hour rain delay and wins the Horizon League tournament and a NCAA berth. The following players were named to the All-Tournament Team.

David Cales, (MVP)
Larry Gempp Jr.
Nick Rainwater
Chad Schroeder
Ryan Zink

Nick Rainwater also made the all tournament "Name" team due to the delays that occurred during the course of the tournament!!

Cales is likely the BEST one inning reliever in the country. If you've never seen his slider, you have no chance and the 3 punchouts in the 9th last night proves it.

With a 4-3 loss to Long Beach State the UIC baseball team is done for the season..........but not without showing exceptional ability, heart, and competitive spirit. They were sent to left coast against 3 "home" teams and I think that Illinois baseball fans should be proud of how they represented the State.
